This metal quadriptych was created using a vintage map of Brooklyn, New York.
Each sleek panel measures 12" x 24", for a total display size of 48" x 24" and is made from steel. The corners are drilled and riveted for easy display. To make these unique displays, the process starts with a vintage map which is scanned and digitally printed onto transfer paper. Then heat and pressure is applied to transfer the prints directly into the powder coated metal surface, which results in the image basically becoming a part of the paint and surface, making it highly durable and fade resistant.
